It is often said that you should not argue about taste because taste is entirely in the mind of the observer ,meaning, if you really love something, you’re more likely to say more interesting things about it.
However , you do have to discuss taste in respect to music, or else any ignorant may be considered as having good taste .Only taste for food and colours must not be put under discussion, for anything else we have the right to talk about “good taste ” and “bad taste “. Analyzing music is a difficult task ,you can’t simple describe music as it would be a beautiful landscape .By definition ,music is a spiritual food ,therefore the music must be interpreted and someone must be able to support that interpretation with evidence from the musical piece.On the other hand , music evokes strong emotional responses depending on what expresses : regret , triumph, serenity , exuberance , passion, agony , fury , delight ,pleasure ,and you can’t judge private feelings.
