Kenny Rogers was born August 21, 1938, in Houston, Texas; he’s a prolific American country music singer, producer, songwriter, actor ,photographer and businessman.Kenny was the fourth of seven children born to Floyd and Lucille Rogers , a carpenter and a nurse ,and he began his career as a musician in the mid-1950s, when he recorded with a doo-wop group called The Scholars who had some success with a single called “Poor Little Doggie”. Now he is the oldest artist in the history of country music.

The single “Lucille” , 1977  , was a major hit at that time , reaching number one on the pop charts in 12 countries, selling over five million copies, and firmly establishing Rogers’ post-First Edition career.
